Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) Regulatory Framework Assessment
To make sure that CCS is conducted in the safest and most environmentally responsible way possible, Alberta Energy is creating the best regulatory environment for CCS in Alberta. Over the past two years, more than 100 global experts on CCS, including representatives from industry, environmental groups, scholars and government worked on this review of existing regulations.
The final report, Carbon Capture and Storage Regulatory Framework Assessment, details the findings of the review, and includes over 70 conclusions and recommendations to ensure the highest levels of protection for public safety and the environment.
Feedback on the Regulatory Framework Assessment
Public feedback on the RFA was collected until October 3, 2013 to ensure that Alberta will have the gold standard for carbon capture and storage regulations.
